Job description

Ryke’s Bakery is seeking a Retail Manager. Must possess strong leadership, customer service, and merchandising skills; be self motivated, dependable, professional, trustworthy and sales driven.

A Retail Manager is a working leader in the retail area who is the “Director of First Impressions!” and who facilitating all functions of the retail store. The Retail Manager is responsible for how Ryke’s is perceived by our customers and employees. This person will facilitate a memorable “customer experience” through ensuring product selection and quality, a clean working environment, and happy enthusiastic customers and team members. This person will be responsible for managing labor expenses, merchandising, scheduling, Hiring and disciplinary actions if needed, making sure that the retail staff has the tools they need to do their jobs, train and maintain staff, along with other management tasks.

The Retail Manager must maintain a presence on the retail floor during peak traffic times or when needed to control labor. They should be present on the floor at least 5 hours per shift worked. Manage floor to increase sales through product placement, floor presence and quest satisfaction. Retail Manager should be driving customer satisfaction through hands on interaction with our customers and modeling this behavior with all staff.

Candidates should be self motivated, hard working, able to multi-task and have good character. Must be a team player and willing to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays. Business hours are 7:00 a.m through 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturdays are 7am to 3pm and Sundays we are closed.
